Daniel J. Steckler, D.M.D.
Certified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Danny Steckler started his education at the College of Charleston and later transferred to the University of Kentucky to complete his degree in Kinesiology/Business in 2001. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2006. Dr. Steckler went on to complete his specialty post-doctoral training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in 2008. He has been a proud member of the Lexington community for almost 20 years. Dr. Steckler and his wife Rachel have two daughters, Dylan and Ruby. He enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
Dr. Steckler is Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of numerous organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Steckler also serves as the Dental Director for the Refuge Medical and Dental Clinic.

The wonderful staff at Dr. Steckler Pediatric Dentistry is excited about treating the infants, children and adolescents in the Lexington area community. We are truly a 'family' and we pride ourselves in making sure that every patient has the very best dental experience!
Susan (Office Coordinator)
Susan is our Office Coordinator and has been with Steckler Pediatric Dentistry since 1986. Susan has the longest tenure at our office. As Office Coordinator, Susan runs the day to day operations of the office. You will see her smiling face as you finish your appointments and reschedule your next check-up. She is married to Eddie and they have one son, Josiah. Susan’s favorite part about her job is interacting with the children and watching them grow up. She feels blessed to have such a great work family!
Jessica (Clinic Coordinator)
Jessica is our Clinic Coordinator and has been with Steckler Pediatric Dentistry for 6 years. She keeps things running smoothly in the clinic area and is a great team leader. Jessica’s love for children makes her a great asset to our office. She is married to Ryan and they have a sweet, beautiful daughter, Josie, who keeps them very busy.
Kaila (Treatment Coordinator)
Kaila is our Treatment Coordinator and has been with Steckler Pediatric Dentistry for 7 years. As Treatment Coordinator, Kaila will review any recommended treatment and explain the insurance benefits and any financial obligations associated with the treatment. Kaila is married to Brad and have a wonderful son, Kale.
Elaine (Front Desk)
Elaine is our smiling face at the check in desk. She had been in dentistry for 37 years and loves being around all the children. Elaine is married to Marty and they have 2 wonderful sons, Aaron and Zach and a beautiful granddaughter, Payson.
Nikia (Clinical Staff)
We welcomed Nikia to our office in July 2013. She is an expanded duty dental assistant. Her ability to work well with children makes her a great asset to our office. She currently lives in Paris, KY with her beautiful daughter, Na’Sean. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Heather (Dental Hygienist)
Heather is a dental hygienist and has been with Steckler Pediatric Dentistry for 4 years. She enjoys working with the team and working with kids. Her contagious smile is such an asset to this office. She has two wonderful kids, Ashley and Cole.
Ali (Clinical Staff)
Ali has been working in dentistry for 15 years. She moved to Kentucky 7 years ago from Georgia where she worked at a pediatric dentist office for 9 years. After being in general dentistry for 6 years she realized she missed working with kids. "I've been at Dr. Steckler's office almost a year now and love where I am at!" Ali and her husband, Marty, have 4 beautiful children. She enjoys being outside, hiking and camping.
Laeken (Clinical Staff)
Laeken is the newest member of Steckler Pediatric Dentistry, having started in May 2018. She is an expanded duties dental assistant. Besides working alongside our team, Laeken’s favorite part of her job is interacting with the children. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.
